Show Notes

  • This is a followup from the 1993-08-03 show. The club owner got drunk at that show for her birthday party so invited them back as a redo.
  • This is the show that was filmed for the first music video of Killing in the Name. You can see the CWNN logo in the background of the video.
  • This contains the first recorded performance of People of the Sun and according to one of the band members this is likely the first ever performance of the song.
  • B-Real from Cypress Hill joins for Wake Up, and MJK from Tool joins them for Know Your Enemy, possibly for the first time.
  • Tom had this to say about B-Real joining in an interview with Rick Rubin about Renegades: "you know, B Real jammed with the band at some of our first club shows, at a place called Club With No Name, in '91"

Notes

I doubted for years this recording actually existed but recently acquired it and it is clear from listening that this show was a banger. Apparently ijwthstd forgot to change batteries before the show in the recorder so it slowly begins to die over the course of the show. As a result, Bombtrack becomes largely fuzz. Still it is great to get a copy of this legendary show. Thank you so much for taping and sharing!
