  • Check this out. I was walking around last night in the parking lot and I had a bunch of people come up to me to ask me why we weren't selling t-shirts on the tour. And uh, had to be completely honest with them. I respect the Lollapalooza organization for putting together things like the speaker's forum where we can exchange ideas and exchange opinions and bring awareness about some things. But I have to criticize the Lollapooza organization for fucking bowing down to promoters, and bowing down to the people that own these arenas that fucking take fourty percent of things like merchandise and inflate the price up and you guys are paying for it. This whole fucking place is paying for it. And I hope other bands take a look at what's happening and who is paying for things like swimming pools. Isn't it for expenses, this is like extreme amounts of money. This is what we're tring to do, alright this kind of critical things. Don't be a blind consumer and walk in and buy these t-shirts for fucking twenty three dollars. It's riduclous. It is riduclous. It's that same kind of blind consumerism that put this nation to sleep. Especially at times when this country, and the leaders of this country, go over to the Persian gulf in the name of humanitarian efforts and murder five hundred thousand innocent woman and children and Iraqis who do nothing, and have nothing to do with this bullshit imperialist action over there. This song is called a Bullet in your Head. Check out what's going down.
  • 5. Bullet In The Head
  • 6. Wake Up
with speech - recordings are too poor to make out what Zack says

Show Notes

  • Lollapalooza Festival. Second of two nights in Mountain View. Setlist is taken from an audio recording. Tim Mosenfelder took photos of the band and you can see Zack reading from a book, which helps correlate the setlist since Hadda was definitely played. Zack gives a speech about the Persian Gulf War before a Bullet in the Head

Acquired in February 2021 via the might DiGUM - huge thanks for sending this my way! Recorded in 1993 at Shoreline and then transferred 28 years later less than ten miles away. This is an ok-ish recording. At times the bass gets overloaded and the sound gets a bit muffled and there is occassional audience chatter. There are two Tool audience recordings from this same date and I think this might be from a Sony ECM-909 or Sony PC-62. It sounds more like the PC-62 source, but who knows!

A huge thanks to bootlegconfessions for putting his masters on archive.org. A fairly rough sounding recording but great to have another source!
