Great sounding recording! Thanks to tapeworm for sharing this. Their notes: "Transferred from my DAT clone in March 2020 using the SRC to upsample the 32kHz DAT. The recording had been EQ'd prior to being placed on DAT. Tape flip after 'Tire Me' but no music was lost."

I received this tape in a trade a long time ago but know nothing about what it was recorded with. The recording is a bit distant and overall the quality is not too great, but it's the only source we have. I have not run across any active traders or collectors with this tape, so I think this is as good as it's going to get! Bullet in the Head cuts out midway through on the first side of the tape, so the second half is missing.

A huge thanks to Distortion for providing me with a copy of this show! It is unfortunately MP3 sourced but I doubt at this point a loseless source is going to be found anywhere else. Recording is average sounding, some background chatter but nothing major.

An absolutely incredible recording of Rage performing on their Evil Empire European promo tour. Stephane D. has produced a number of incredible Rage recordings throughout the years and this one is no exception.

Acquired in February 2021 via the mighty DiGUM - huge thanks for sending this my way! This recording sounds great and might be a FM broadcast... someone else has indicated that to me and I'm inclined to believe it. Contains Know Your Enemy through Bullet in the Head

Complete recording from bootlegconfessions. A bit rough but the first audio recording to emerge. His notes: "As the shows progressed both days, I grew accustomed to the rhythm of the crowd’s movements and learned to shift from one side of the field to the other near the end of each set, so I’d be in place for the beginning of the next set on the other side when the next band started. Well, when Rage Against The Machine started, the crowd surged over like a fucking tidal wave and I had to use every ounce of my strength to stay upright. Lots of people fell over on the way and we all did our best to help them up, so nobody would be crushed to death. It was pretty hairy, truth be told, but as far as I know there were no serious injuries that day. Suffice to say, the crowd went completely nuts during their set and it was one of the biggest pits I’d ever see in my lifetime. It’s more than a pit when it gets to be that size, it’s a god damn maelstrom."

I believe this also circulates as "Bombs Over Brixton". Either way, it's a great recording of a killer show!

A great sounding unknown audience recording of Rage performing at the Le Zenith. I think this is a liberated bootleg - I have seen references on old sites claiming that it is one. This is NOT loseless - I was hesitant to share this as I generally do not like sharing lossy recordings but at this point I do not think a loseless copy is going to surface. Enjoy!

This is what I presume a high gen copy of this show. I've received a few tapes of this one and they all sound the same and include the weird warbles you hear for instance during Revolver. No idea what it was recorded with or by who but I assume it was either on a cassette deck or sourced via a cassette.

I have seen a handful of lists with a recording attributed to this date but have no way to confirm. I think it might be a recording from 1996-02-04 mistakenly attributed to this show but adding an entry just in case.

Huge huge HUGE thanks to Tex for hooking me up with this one! I've been searching for this show for YEARS and it is great to finally have a copy! This is an incredibly elusive, hard to find tape of Rage playing one of their few (many only?) indoor show of 1994. During this year Rage primarily played festivals and benefit concerts, so it makes this one incredibly special. This is the longest set they played in 1994, clocking in at 12 songs and I think encapsulates every song that they performed that year. I'd love to know what Rage's inspiration was to play the Le Zenith. It seems like this venue must have been a favorite of theirs as they played there each tour prior to their breakup. A few Evil Empire songs were performed this night in their early forms as well as an unreleased song titled "Producer" that has never seen an official release. "Township Rebellion" was also given its last full performance before Rage brought it back in 2010 in its complete form. This is definitely a highlight in their 1994 run of shows and I'm glad a copy is now finally preserved!

Not the greatest sounding recording, lot of audience noise and feels a bit distant. Maybe recorded from the back of the venue? Either way, grateful to have this recording!

Notes: this is a bootleg cassette that probably originated somewhere in the Camden Markets shortly after the show. I have a similar one from Reading 1993 with the same "Source A Audience" label on the side. There is a taper that used the Realistics + WM-D6 to record Reading, Mayfair, and this show which makes me think that this is that source. The WM-D6/WM-D3 series recorders were popular amongst bootleggers that sold tapes in that market during that era due to their use from notorious bootleggers like "Big Al". I confirmed based on audience chatter before "Wake Up" that this is separate from the video audio.
